About

From Accra to Brisbane.

The through-line has stayed the same: learn quickly, build rigorously, and turn technical work into systems people can actually use.

The Story

Builder first.
Scientist second.

I started out in Ghana, first studying Business at Opoku Ware School before moving to the University of Ghana to study Economics, Mathematics, and Statistics. Very quickly, I had to be honest with myself: Mathematics was not going to be my path. I dropped it, stayed with Economics and Statistics, and graduated with a clearer sense of what actually fit me. I liked patterns, structure, and making sense of messy real-world things.

In 2017, I moved to Italy and started studying Economics at the University of Pisa. Somewhere along the way, it became obvious that I was more drawn to probability, modelling, and data than to staying on that original track. So I changed course and moved into the MSc in Stochastics and Data Science at the University of Turin, with a scholarship awarded to a small group of international students based on GRE scores. Looking back, that decision changed everything. It pulled me properly into machine learning and eventually led to research I co-authored in IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics.

Toward the end of that master's program, I got an internship with Neosound Intelligence in Amsterdam. That was really my introduction to speech recognition, and it ended up shaping my thesis as well. After graduating, I joined Binoocle in Florence in 2021. Not long after that, while still working there part time, I took on a bigger responsibility with Friendly Health Technologies in the United States, where I led QA work focused on how data science models were performing across image processing and NLP pipelines.

I did that until moving to Australia in 2023. In Canberra, I spent time working with energy data, and from there I moved into deeper predictive modelling work at Seqwater in Brisbane. That eventually led me to Domino's Pizza Enterprises, where I now build ML and GenAI systems. At this point, what matters most to me is simple: the work should be useful, it should hold up in production, and it should solve a real problem for the people using it.

I still like the part where ideas become real systems people can actually depend on.

What stayed consistent through those moves was not the job title. It was the habit of learning the domain quickly, building with rigor, and caring about whether the outcome works for the people depending on it.
